PADI Tec 50

This level of training will truly open up a wealth of Thailand's premier technical diving sites. The PADI Tec Deep program is built upon three new courses: Tec 40, Tec 45, and Tec 50. This new course break down allows the technical decompression diving program to be diver friendly, letting the student built their experience gradually. Each level of certification in the Tec Deep program allows the successful candidate to gain experience and still enjoy the benefits of decompression. Upon completing the Tec 50 course you can join us on a search for the lost village in Khao Sok National park or liveaboard to the HTMS Pangan or Hammerhead tour which feature world war two scuddled military vessels.

The Tec 50 course takes you from Tec 45 and allows the successful candidate to independently gain experience as a full Tec Deep Diver. This qualification represents a high level of competency for a technical diver. The diver is qualified to use air/EANx/oxygen to make extended range accelerated decompression dives. During the Tec 50 course, you make actual decompression dives as deep as 50 meters/165 feet. You'll use enriched air nitrox and/or oxygen for decompression. Furthermore, you will learn to use desk top decompression software to create custom dive tables and plan your dives. Most importantly this course will qualify the successful candidate to plan and execute technical decompression dives as a team - extending your limits once again.

Prerequisites

Be a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or hold a qualifying certification from another organization)
Be a PADI Rescue Diver (or hold a qualifying certification from another organization)
Be a PADI Enriched Air Diver (or hold a qualifying certification from another organization)
Be a PADI Deep Diver (or hold a qualifying certification from another organization)
Be a DSAT Tec 45 (or hold a qualifying certification from another organization)
Have a minimum of 100 logged dives, of which at least
- 20 dives must be enriched air dives
- 25 dives must be deeper than 18 metres/60 feet
- 20 dives must be deeper than 30 metres/100 feet
Be at least 18 years old
Have a medical form signed by your physician
